Gossip?

Today, was my first time ever attending church, and it was amazing! I met brilliant people there. As a prophetic Christian, I could feel the energy of certain people. It was the most curious thing I've ever encountered. I believe I felt the anointing and presence of God around certain people, when I shook their hands, I could know things about them that I didn't know before we touched. The energy coming off of the two preachers was fascinating.

I could also feel the energy of people who wanted to avoid me, see I live in a small town, in a small town people talk. I've been judged so much that it doesn't even bother me anymore. Hence the reason I came to church, to meet like minded people. Sometimes you just have to stick to the people whose energy is lining up with yours on a spiritual level. Because if you don't the enemy will work through others to tear you down.

What does God think about Gossip?

A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.

Proverb 16:25

God doesn't want us gossiping let alone judging one another. He told us "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Mark 12:31). He wants us to all be united as one. But gossip and slander get in the way of us connecting as a whole. When we are all united we become powerful and the enemy doesn't want that so he whispers on our shoulder, "It's okay, You can talk bad about them. They aren't a good person anyways." We give in to this temptation that causes strife and barriers around other people. God wants us to all get along in harmony with one another.

The answer? We need to be more like Jesus. That's obvious, To be more "Christ Like" and evolve into better people. Grow in our faith, grow in the word of God, mature in your relationship with him. You will find more serenity, peace, perseverance, patience, love, empathy and wisdom. You will wish you had done it sooner. And as time passes it will just grow deeper and deeper. Its an experience that we should be grateful we get the chance to have. And we should love others the same way we love God.

We love because he first loved us.

John 4:19
